Specifications

Wireless LAN Connectivity for Any Device with an Ethernet Interface
No matter what network operating system or hardware platform you use, RangeLAN2 7920 Series Ethernet Adapters support wireless connectivity to it. Internal bridging features in the RangeLAN2 Ethernet Adapters automatically forward packets as required with no modification to your applications. RangeLAN2 Ethernet Adapters make driver and hardware installation a thing of the past.

RangeLAN2 7920 Ethernet Adapters provide wireless connectivity solutions to PCs, Macintosh and UNIX computers, printers, medical, manufacturing, industrial, transportation and educational equipment with built-in Ethernet interfaces. With the Ethernet adapter, manufacturing equipment becomes truly portable. In the industrial environment, equipment like PLCs and sensors communicate without wires over ranges of several miles. Meeting retail’s seasonal requirements, terminals, scanners, scales and printers are easily moved when communicating through an Ethernet adapter. Medical equipment like monitors and analyzers can be portable to better serve patients and staff. In the transportation industry, Ethernet adapters incorporate a new level of intelligence in vehicles like trucks, buses and heavy equipment through mobile computing.

Plug-and-Play Installation
The RangeLAN2 7920 Ethernet Adapter is designed for plug-and-play installation. Plug it in the Ethernet port of any device for connection to the wireless RangeLAN2 or OpenAirTM network. External switches and an easy-to-use configuration menu accessible via a serial port are provided if required.

Designed for Industrial and Manufacturing Environments
This small, lightweight unit is rugged enough to be placed in the harshest of industrial or manufacturing environments. The RangeLAN2 7920 Ethernet Adapter brings connectivity to your most difficult locations with its wide temperature range and robust mechanical design

Workgroup Concentrator Setup
The RangeLAN2 7920 Series Ethernet Adapter supports small network connectivity to other RangeLAN2 devices. It supports a maximum of eight wired nodes to its wired Ethernet port. It also supports single cell topologies for your small network where roaming is not required.
