The  VCS-1010 Series Digital Video Encoder/Decoder provides digitized and compressed video in a synchronous EIA-422 format at 2.0 Mbps. The VCS-1010 features 4 RS-232/RS-422 bi-directional data channels (data rate programmable). It is suitable for use in a T-1, fractional T-1, E-1 or fractional E-1 environments. The VCS-1010 series products are easily connected to network equipment having high-speed synchronous data interfaces. The synchronous RS-422 data format also allows compatibility with most EIA-530 and V.35 interface equipment.
