Vbricks - Complete System Solution

VBricks are a complete system solution, live MPEG encoding, decoding, streaming server, desktop viewer, ActiveX Controls, Scheduling System, and more. Vbricks even stream to third-party players and systems that use MPEG and/or RTP/RTCP (such as Cisco IP/TV).

VBricks enable two-way Television over your IP network for true interactive video. Simply connect two or more VBricks to your network and you are ready to engage useful video... not postage-stamp video on a PC, but true television with CD-quality audio on standard, inexpensive Televisions. VBricks automatically detect other VBricks and give you a conference directory on your TV screen. Just surf to your destination using your IR remote control to call anyone. Use RondaView provides automatic conference scheduling services.

Telemedical applications require the highest quality, and "jerkey-vision" won't do. VBricks can be instantly deployed over conventional T1/E1 lines, over IP, ATM, or satellite and microwave networks to enable real telemedicine.

Educators know that when ever there is more than one viewer (like in a classroom), it is all but impossible to deliver a useful educational message on a PC. VBrick delivers both live and stored video to standard TV monitors as well as to PC's.

Using IP Multicast, VBricks can be placed anywhere...for example near to the source of the video. A practically unlimited number of streams can be delivered, encoded live via a VBrick or stored via MediaPump...and any stream can be viewed on any TV or on any PC at any time. A Program Guide with all available streams appears on the TV screen with a touch of the IR remote control, and any stream can be selected at any time.

Security and efficiency is vastly improved when prisoners can appear in court without having to travel. Sessions can be recorded digitally, or decoded to recording on standard analog tape.

Using VBricks unique dual OC3, it is not necessary to run multiple fibers, nor is it necessary to install an edge device. And because VBrick video payload is modest, remote locations can operate over DSL and T1/E1's.

A practically unlimited number remote locations, for example shipping docks, doors, parking lots, can be monitored. Importantly, there can be any number of TV monitors or PC's viewing any video without the use of a video matrix switch or other "video switcher".

Corporations can place TV monitors in common areas, lobbies, etc. and broadcast not only live video, but text messages using VBrick's Billboading. Financial firms needing access to the latest information can view live TV on their desktops without having to install "TV Tuner Cards" and run coax cable to every PC.

Continuous Presence for distance learning and other applications is easy to install and configure. A common configuration includes one encoder and three decoders.
